Growing up, my parents always told me that if I “worked really hard”, I’d have a great career and be able to do, be and have anything I wanted. But soon after my first child was born, I realized that something had to give. These were all passions and skills that I had, yet the effort, expertise, time, money, and risk of building any of these into a real business that would create freedom for me and my family — never felt right or worthwhile for the overhead effort.
I didn’t have 50+ hours a week to give, and with a newborn and kindergartener at the time, I was stretched pretty thin already. On top of that I had $109,000 in student loan debt from earning my MBA in Finance from MIT and we had no actual plan to pay that off quickly and actually have any control over our lives. Heather Roy grew up in NH but has been living in Massachusetts with her husband and two children for the last 12 years. Before having kids, Heather had a variety of jobs after graduating as an Economics major from college. She started her career in finance, moved onto being a TV producer, and most recently was a Director of Admissions, coach, and teacher at a private school. While she loved all of her jobs at the time, when she “fell into Pure Haven”, she knew she wouldn’t go back to a traditional career. She gets all of the best aspects of her old jobs but now is her own boss, works from home, and has replaced a full-time income.
Kelly Pitcher

Ann lives in Denver, CO with her husband Jon and their four-legged kids, two vizslas. After numerous fertility treatments and a diagnosis of “unexplained infertility,” Ann and Jon began researching what they could change in their everyday lives that may have a positive impact. After addressing diet, exercise, and stress, they began learning about how chemicals they were coming into contact with, unknowingly, everyday could be impacting their endocrine systems, their hormones. Once they found out, there was no question they would take control of everything that they were putting ON their bodies, getting absorbed into their bloodstream, and messing with their hormones.. Within 8 months of starting her business, Ann was leading a fast-growing team in West Michigan. After just two years in the business, she was able to retire from public education and move the household to Colorado, Jon’s home. Is this one of those “pyramid schemes”?
I hear you! And I understand your concerns and I had them too because I’d heard stories and didn’t have a whole lot of understanding about network marketing (or “direct sales”, or “MLM”). Here’s the reality: there are some shady humans out there in all areas of business and life!
